HFES Speakers Bureau: Community/School/Industry Outreach Speaker

• Description:
  • HFES Speakers Bureau members will contact professional societies, schools, and other nonprofit organizations and present introductory human factors/ergonomics (HF/E) or other relevant topics to their audiences.
    
    
  • Speakers Bureau members are volunteers, but they may, on occasion, accept reimbursement of travel expenses if travel over 100 miles is required. Although honorariums and speakers fees are never accepted for HFES Speakers Bureau engagements, if someone wants to make a contribution, they can do so directly to the Society.
    
    
  • As a Speakers Bureau member, you can prepare your own materials for presentation or use materials developed by the Volunteerism Committee. Please consider providing your materials to the committee for use by other speakers.
    
    
• Number of Positions Available:
  • Unlimited
    
    
• Time Commitment:
  • As much time as you can provide. Depends on how many speaking engagements you find.
    
    
• Necessary/Needed Skills:
  • Good communication skills.
  • Desire to teach others about Human Factors.
  • Ability to speak in front of small and large groups.
