National Ergonomics Month: Speaker, Media, and Community Service

  • October is National Ergonomics Month (NEM)-- a time for teaching, learning, networking, service, and fun. NEM presents a great opportunity to promote HF/E to the media, industry leaders, and students through speaker presentations, discussions, writing articles for the NEM web site (hfesnem.org), and the media and community service activities. NEM Volunteers will be asked to take leadership for and/or support the organization and implementation of appropriate projects to promote NEM. NEM is planning for a year-long activity.

• Time Commitment:
  • As much time as you can provide. Depends on how many speaking engagements you find.
    
    
• Necessary/Needed Skills:
  • Good communication skills.
  • Desire to teach others about Human Factors.
  • Ability to speak in front of small and large groups.
